Taste Tour of Ukraine – A Fundraising Dinner to benefit the people of Ukraine, led by Executive Chef Saif Rahman

100% of the proceeds donated to the ukraine through World Central Kitchen

Join us as we raise money for the Ukrainian community! This special multi-course chefs’ dinner will highlight the unique tastes and beautiful culture of the Ukraine. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the Ukraine!

Saif Rahman will showcase the rustic cooking he is known for, use of simple ingredients, and cooking techniques to pronounce those flavors. Guests can expect to savor dishes that are rich, fragrant, and layered with the sweet and spicy, earthy and bright flavors that reflect the dense culture of Ukraine.


PAMPUSHKY – Ukrainian garlic bread

OLIVYE – Ukrainian potato salad

CHICKEN LIVER AND APPLE SALAD – leafy greens, sour apple and lemon dressing

BORSCHT – traditional Ukrainian beetroot and beef soup

HUTSUL BANUSH – Carpathian Mountain grits

HOLUBTSI – traditional Ukrainian meat stuffed cabbage

CHICKEN KYIV – warm garlic butter and herb

KOVBASA AND TOVCHANKA – roasted pork sausage, Ukrainian mashed potatoes, red beets and cabbage stew

Saif Rahman, Vidrio’s Executive Chef, will be bringing his sophistication and his knowledge of local ingredients to the table. Saif is also NCRLA’s recent winner of the title of NCRLA Chef of the Year.

Saif Rahman brings a passion and artistry to cooking techniques, plate presentations, and ideation. His understanding and experience in Mediterranean culture allow him to bring forth Mediterranean dishes that explode with flavors, using traditional cooking methods, and his passion for incorporating ingredients that are both local to North Carolina. Chef Rahman takes pride in working with local producers and farmers to incorporate ingredients to his dishes that are local to the area.

For Saif, cooking is not just a skill, but a true art form that he takes great pride in.
