A Spirited Room

Event Ended: Friday June 7th, 2019

First Friday is on the Horizon

Our next first Friday is on the horizon which means we’ve got some outstanding recipes in the works for cocktails for that evening. Vidrio’s beverage team will be putting forth Matthew Gloth, to compete against Winston Salem native, Rolando “Rolo” Pettigrew, from Crafted and Sir Winston. The spirit of choice? Deep Eddy Vodka. Both bartenders will come up with a unique and custom cocktail for the evening event. Both using the same spirit, but unique preparation, ingredients and presentation. Guests have the opportunity to taste and learn about each cocktail, and vote for which they warrant as the best.

A Spirited Room

Our first Friday Cocktail Roundtable is always a Spirited room. A gathering of cocktail lovers, appreciators of the craft of cocktail mixing, with a desire to be a part of our exploration for cocktail of the year. So if you’re planning on heading out for first Friday festivities, gallery tours, or stopping downtown for the street fair, make Vidrio your last stop and join in the excitement.

Meet Matt

Matthew Gloth Bartender at Vidrio
Matthew Gloth

You just may have actually already met him when stopping in for a drink. Matt truly has a taste for creative craft cocktails, and with his New Jersey charm, he’ll certainly make you want to stick around for a second drink. In fact, Matt left the corporate world behind to return to the service industry to work in Raleigh’s growing food and beverage scene. Staying true to his passion for quality ingredients and top-notch service, he uses only the best quality ingredients behind the bar, but also when he is out exploring the endless restaurants and bars that Raleigh has to offer. When he’s not crafting cocktails for the masses on Glenwood South, he enjoys being outdoors with his wife and two pups, staying active, and traveling. Come check out our First Friday Cocktail Roundtable and see what Matt has crafted for the night.
