Welcoming Sean Umstead from Kingfisher in Durham, NC to mix and shake some cocktails with Natalie Cox from Vidrio.
Natalie Cox is no stranger to the the cocktail crafting scene. Working in the hospitality industry since she was 17 years old, and being on our bar team since our opening, she has been an integral part of the restaurants growth and development that has also paralleled her own. From instilling her inspiration and creativity into Vidrio’s craft cocktails, almost every drink on the menu has a little Natalie twist. You can thank her later.
She’s almost always in the bar mixing up a drink for one of her regulars, but when she’s relaxing away from the restaurant, you can find her playing with her two dogs, or spending time with family and friends.
Sean Umstead Kingfisher
Sean is the creative force behind the soon-to-open Kingfisher in Durham, NC. This seasonal cocktail bar will draw inspiration from North Carolina’s farms, offering a year-long view into each season through innovative cocktail preparations.
Sean has been steeped in North Carolina’s hospitality culture, serving on many dynamic food and beverage teams – including The Umstead Hotel and Spa in Cary, The Counting House in the 21c Museum Hotelin Durham, and St. Roch Fine Oysters + Bar in downtown Raleigh.
