In anticipation of A’Verde’s opening, which will be coming later this year, diners will have the opportunity to experience the restaurant’s menu before it officially opens. During the evening’s event, A’Verde’s Executive Chef Katsuji Tanabe (the Top Chef alum and Chopped champion) will present dishes, served family-style offering a  glimpse of what is to come from the new Cary restaurant.

Guests can expect a night of energy, traditional Mexican dishes, like Ceviche Tostadas and Cohinita Pibil, Braised Pork in Achiote, Sour orange and aromatic spices. Dishes will be served family-style alongside inventive, and thoughtfully crafted cocktails.

Tell Me About The Menu

A’Verde’s menu is Chef Katsuji’s opportunity to showcase traditional and unique Mexican flavors that are not always common in the South, while using the region’s best ingredients. Drawing inspiration from the melting pot that is Mexico City, his family table, and other regions of Mexico, Katsuji creates a menu that offers a variety of his favorite dishes, from cornbread and refried beans to pork shanks, octopus tacos, and vegetable-forward dishes with local, seasonal produce.

Dinner will include 10 of his favorite dishes, stories on the history and inspiration on the dishes, and a variety of cocktails. Reservations can be made here, through our reservation platform.
