A Showcase of Culinary Talent

Executive Chef Andres Kaifer will be attending the third annual Azalea Festival Chef Showcase this upcoming February 1st in Wilmington, North Carolina. The Azalea Festival Chef Showcase brings five notable chefs together from North Carolina to each prepare a dish in a five course luncheon to benefit the North Carolina Azalea Festival. Each course is paired with a fine wine, with the event including light entertainment, high-end silent auction items, and a luxury vacation raffle.

The Dish

Chef Kaifer will be preparing the second course, a Scallop Tartare, with butternut squash espuma, puffed sorghum, and preserved chili oil. Chef Andres brings his inspiration for Mediterranean-inspired cooking and Spanish influence from his culinary experience in Miami to prepare the dish brought to the showcase.
